PUBLIC NOTICE - CONSULTATIONS STATEMENT OF LICENSING POLICY AND CUMULATIVE IMPACT POLICY/ASSESSMENT LICENSING ACT 200 The Council is seeking views in respect of two Licensing policies. They are distinct standalone consultations but are linked by the Licensing Act 2003. Both consultations will run until 8th March 2021.
The first document for consultation is the Statement of Licensing Policy. This is a statutory requirement under the above legislation and provides the policy for determining applications for licensable activities. This document must be reviewed every five years. The five year review is now due. The second consultation relates to the Cumulative Impact Policy that is summarised within the Statement of Licensing Policy. The Cumulative Impact Policy provides additional control for the number of licensed premises in and area and specifically relates to the Broadgreen area. A Cumulative Impact Policy has been in place in Broadgreen since 2016 and is now due for review.
There are statutory stakeholders that must be consulted but in addition this is extended as a full public consultation. Details of both consultations can be found on the Council's website at
