Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (B4039, Castle Combe) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 50mph speed limit on B4039, Castle Combe - from a point 130 metres north west of its junction with Whitegates to a point 125 metres south east of its junction with C71 Fosseway. Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) B4040 (Part), Charlton; from its junction with Vicarage Lane for a distance of approximately 280m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out installation of bypass, meter, valves and washouts onto watermain. Alternative route via B4040 (unaffected length) - A429 - B4042 - B4696 - B4040 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 July 2022 and the closure will be required until 05 August 2022. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. B) Avils Lane (Part), Stanton St Quintin; from outside its property known as Lower Stanton Farm to outside its property known as No.42 Avils Lane to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out location and clearance of a blockage for fibre installation and associated works. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: G) Kingsbury Street (Part), Marlborough; from its junction with High Street for approximately 60m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to mount a cherry picker in the road to install lightening conductor on top of Town Hall and associated works. N) Ladds Lane (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with St Mary Street for a distance of approximately 15m in a south westerly direction. O) Emery Lane, Chippenham; from its junction with St Mary Street for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order which previously came into operation on 25 April 2022 will now recommence on 05 July 2022 and the closure will be required: L), M) and N) between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 on 05 July 2022 for 4 weekdays. O) between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 on 07 July 2022 for 1 night. O) between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 on 08 July 2022 for 1 day. This Order which previously came into operation on 20 December 2021 will now recommence on 08 July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Section 16(A) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Northgate Street (Part), Devizes; from its roundabout junction with A361 to its junction with The Market Place. B) The Market Place, Devizes; from its junction with Northgate Street to its junction with St Johns Street. C) St Johns Street, Devizes; from its junction with The Market Place to its junction with Long Street. D) Long Street (Part), Devizes; from its junction with St John's Street to its junction with Bridewell Street. Alternative route via A361 - A360
- Long Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the Queens Baton Relay Race to take place. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 5th July 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 10:00 for 1 day with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the Queens Baton Relay Race, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform.
