Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Lower Bourton,Shrivenham Bourton road south ofTownsend Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 10 April 2017 Coming into force: 15 April 2017 This order is being introduced to enable bridge parapet heightening work to the Lower Bourton Bridge over the rail line which is anticipated to take 4 weeks - until Sunday 14 May to complete.
This order is being introduced to enable bridge parapet heightening work to the Lower Bourton Bridge over the rail line which is anticipated to take 4 weeks - until Sunday 14 May to complete.
The effect of the order, when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed, is to temporarily close the Bourton road that runs southwards from Townsend Road (off the A420 south of Shrivenham) to its junction with Cleyfields. Works are planned between 10pm and 6am Monday to Friday, and 10pm and 9am on Saturday nights (road to be open Friday nights and during the day).

The alternative route is viaTownsend Road, Station Road, Avenue Road Bourton and Cleyfields, and vice versa. Exemptions for access are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to property in the closed section of road.
This order will remain in force for 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner
