This award recognises that all our care workers in Wiltshire are heroes. Care workers make a difference to people’s lives every day and this award celebrates that. Do you know a care worker who has worked hard to enable someone to live an independent, safe, and fulfilled life? Have they helped to change someone’s life for the better? It is these everyday stories about how our care workers make a difference (big or small) that the judges want to hear.

Sponsor’s Message

icarecareers.co.uk is a collaboration of organisations across the care sector in Swindon that have come together to build the strongest possible care workforce to meet the needs of the town – now and into the future.

This recently launched taskforce works to highlight the great rewards that are on offer with a career in health and social care, as well as train and bolster the workforce to make sure that it is fit to overcome whatever hurdles may come its way.

The pandemic has forced everyone to review how they work, and even what they do, and the past year has shown us what’s important and brought our local heroes into the spotlight. Whilst everyone who works in care is a hero and should be celebrated as such, through the Care Hero Award we want to highlight those who have exceeded the outstanding level of compassion and commitment that we have come to see as an ingrained characteristic of those who work in the sector. This could be the stalwart carer whose commitment has been unwavering, as well as those who have more recently joined the sector and have hit the ground at full speed to make a difference to people’s lives.

icarecareers.co.uk is here for Swindon and this unique and innovative partnership aims to make Swindon a better place for those working in care, receiving care, and those who may be looking at the opportunities in the future.
