Last year Upper Stratton suffered from some absolutely dreadful flooding in some areas; particularly Foxley Close, Beechcroft Road, St Philip's Road, Marsland Avenue and Headlands Grove.

To bring some of the strands of the problem together I have organised a public meeting at which I hope to have representatives from Thames Water, The Environment Agency and the relevant Council department's present. This should be an opportunity to discuss the problem, find out what is being done and set challenging targets for these agencies to move forward and resolve it.

The details are :
Wednesday 7th May
6:30pm to 8:30pm

Committee Room 6
Civic Offices
Euclid Street
Swindon, SN1 2JH

I would have hoped to have organised it sooner, but the rules covering the election period would have prevented officers attending and therefore made the meeting far less effective.

In the meantime, if you have any problems relating to flooding you are very welcome to get in touch.
