DISCO legends Nile Rodgers & Chic, singer Rag’n’Bone man and chart-topping DJ and pop producer Sigala have today been named as the headliners for this summer’s The Big Feastival.

The stars take top billing at the food and music festival, which takes place on Blur bassist Alex James’s farm at Kingham, near Chipping Norton.

Other artists booked to play the ninth instalment of the popular family-friendly gathering are Reef, Zara Larsson, Tom Walker, Maisie Peters, Max & Harvey, Norman Jay, Duke, and Big Feastival regulars The Cuban Brothers.

The festival is Oxfordshire’s last big event of the summer, and takes place over the August Bank Holiday, August 28-30.

It will also feature a BBC Music Introducing Stage hosted by Radio 2’s Jo Whiley and CBBC’s Lindsey Russell.

Food remains an important part of The Big Feastival’s programme, and the line-up also includes an impressive array of culinary talent, with demonstrations by Marco Pierre-White, Mark Hix, Tom Brown, Asma Khan, Matt Tebbutt, Anna Haugh, Merlin Labron-Johnson and more.

Sigala will headline the Friday. The BRIT nominee has had six platinum singles including hits Wish You Well, Came Here For Love and Just Got Paid. Nile Rodgers & Chic top the bill on the Saturday and will play such hits as Le Freak, Good Times and I Want Your Love.

Rag’n’Bone Man, aka Rory Graham, will bring the festival to a close on the Sunday with such tunes as Human, Skin and Giant.

Host Alex James combines his musical career with farming and making cheese, and said the festival continued to combine his three favourite things: Music, food and family.

He said: “This is now our ninth Big Feastival and I can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the farm.

“It is such a thrill to see how the festival develops and evolves each year and I have no doubt 2020 will be bigger and better than ever.

"I couldn’t be more excited at the prospect of Nile Rodgers – the king of funk no less – and Chic basically playing a gig in my back garden, not to mention hosting culinary rock star Marco Pierre White. The lineup already has something for everyone, with plenty more to come… See you in August!”
