Conjuring up crystalline English folk and earthy Americana in Marlborough, is one of the genre’s guitar maestros, Martin Simpson.
The guitar man played with The Ashley Hutchings andAlbion Band in the late 1970s, worked with Rick Kemp from Steeleye Span, toured with June Tabor and married Kit Bailey, daughter of singer Roy Bailey.
He has won numerous BBC Radio 2 Folk awards and has appeared on TV’s Later With Jools Holland. Martin will be at the Marlborough Folk-Roots concert from 8pm tomorrow, at Marlborough Town Hall in the High Street.
