RAVER Tots comes to Swindon’s MECA next month. Set up for the clubbing generation, who now have toddlers, the rave features dance music DJs such as Brandon Block, The Artful Dodger, Slipmatt and Nicky Blackmarket amongst its resident presenters.

The family rave is a safe environment where parents and tots can rip up the dance floor together with whistles and glow sticks, showing off their UV painted faces. Families can and have fun in the soft play area and ball ponds, drive the Didi cars, explore their arty side in the craft areas, let off steam with the parachutes and inflatables and take part in the crazy confetti explosions.

The concept is the brainchild of Mike Pickett, a single parent of two who suffered from ADHD. Mike offered the idea and his services to a company in his local area but they rejected it, so the entrepreneur decided to go it alone.

Beginning in 2017, Mike built up Raver Tots and now has regular parties in more than 30 cities throughout the UK, and notches up more than nine million views on the Raver Tots videos in the last six months.

Raver Tots supports children with Autism and ADHD.

The music is a mix of old skool, house, garage, drum and bass and happy hardcore.and is kept at safe levels for little ones. There is club lighting but no strobes and there is also a buggy park Raver Tots is at MECA in Regent Circus on April 8 from 2pm. For details, visit http://www.ravertots.co.uk/ - Flicky Harrison
