TOP Noughties girlband Atomic Kitten have been announced as the final act in MFor Festival's line-up.

Two of the three original band members, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon, will perform in Lydiard Park on July 28 as part of an ambitious new event full of music and family fun.

They join the rest of the festival's star-studded line-up: 'Mysterious Girl' singer Peter Andre, pop princess Pixie Lott, ex-JLS star Aston Merrygold, ‘90s boyband 5ive, soul group Dave Finnigan’s Commitments, and local band The Tribe.

Atomic Kitten have sold more than 10 million records worldwide and achieved three UK number-one singles, two double-platinum albums and several top ten hits.

MFor Festival organiser Graham Stobbs said: “I’m thrilled to be able to confirm the final line-up of the main acts.

"It’s wonderful we can welcome Atomic Kitten to Swindon and not only enjoy their hits but also introduce them to a new generation of fans.

"They will join the other acts to form part of a ten-hour extravaganza for locals, families and music fans from Swindon, Wiltshire and the south-west.”

The MFor Festival is a new event that aims to bring big-name musical acts to Swindon while celebrating the tireless work of Britain’s military.

A funfair, facepainting stalls, and inflatables will keep the kids entertained.

Charities Walking With the Wounded and Combat Stress will raise money for army veterans.

The RAF 100 Stations charity motorbike ride will be stopping off at the festival during its 4,000-mile journey around the UK.

Organisers hope that this will turn into an annual event that brings more big names to perform in Swindon for many years to come.

Swindon Borough Council confirmed that the festival’s organisers have a premises licence and have been granted permission for the festival to go ahead.

Tickets are now on sale: £49.95 for adults (14+), £19.95 for children, and £120 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).

Children aged five or younger get free entry - but only one per paying adult. For more information, visit mforfestival.co.uk
