DANCE fans are in for a treat when they see Tango Moderno, a high energy performance showcasing a full range of Latin and ballroom offerings set to catchy show tunes and pop songs.

Dancers Flavia Cacace and Vincent Simone rose to fame after appearing BBC1’s flagship show Strictly Come Dancing as professional partners to a range of celebrities. While Flavia raised the glitter ball in 2012 winning the show with gymnast Louis Smith, Vincent finished second with pop star Rachel Stevens in 2008.

Both left Strictly in 2013 and since then they have gone on to create show after show, with Tango Moderno the most recent offering.

Together with a group of dancers they perform to hits from stars including Bruno Mars, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran all performed live by the on stage band.

The most surprising thing about this show was how funny and comedic the performers were. From dancing on lawnmowers and wheel barrows, to street dance and a tinder inspired dating dance number, the highly skilled performers showed a real range of skills and were captivating to watch. I wanted to jump up on stage and join in.

The show’s costume designer Vicky Gill has dressed the cast in beautiful garments, most memorably Flavia’s, who wore gorgeous dresses throughout. The highlight of the show however was its grand finale, with its two stars alone on stage with one violinist as they danced a dramatic tango, which was a incredible to watch. The show received a standing ovation and as we left the theatre many people seemed inspired by what they saw. Tango Modern is showing in the Theatre Royal Bath until February 3. Tickets range from £27.25- £42.75 and can be bought from the Theatre Royal Bath box office.
