Wiltshire Fire and Rescue has issued a warning after a homeowner left a grill pan unattended, setting off the fire alarm.
The incident happened at the end of last week when a fire crew from Westlea attended the house in Shelfinch, west Swindon and checked if the fire had spread before giving the homeowners safety advice.
A spokesman for the service said: “This incident could have been a lot worse and we would advise people never to leave a cooking pan unattended.”
