A PUPIL from Grange Infants School has been praised by staff at Prospect Hospice after organiser her very own swimming fundraiser.

Cerys Jenkins, seven, of Stratton, recently completed 20 lengths of Dorcan pool to raise money for Prospect Hospice after her grandad Tony Sheen was cared for by the hospice.

Cerys swam 400m in total, raising an impressive £645 for Prospect. She was cheered on by family, friends and teachers from the school and said: “I raised the money by taking a newspaper to school with me and telling everyone what Prospect did,” said Cerys. “I want to say thank-you to all my teachers and friends who sponsored me.”
