A MAN who is accused of hiding an imitation firearm for someone has appeared before a judge.

Amin Adan is said to have taken possession of the item after it was allegedly used in an aggravated burglary.

No charge was formally put to the 30-year-old, of Broad Street, at Swindon Crown Court, and he did not enter a plea.

It is alleged that he perverted the course of justice by hiding an imitation firearm for Rowell Bramble, who is one of three people accused of aggravated burglary.

Judge Douglas adjourned the case against Adan to January 4, to link it up with the other case.

Last month the case against 24-year-old Bramble, of no fixed abode, Barry Bramble, 18, of Millennium Way, Cirencester, and a 16-year-old was adjourned. They are said to have gone to a house on Alfred Street on September 9 armed with the toy gun with the intent to steal or commit grievous bodily harm.

A charge of aggravated burglary has yet to be formally been put to the trio and they have not entered any pleas. Barry and Rowell were remanded into custody into custody and the youth, of East London, was released on conditional bail.
