THERE has been more success for a short film made by a group of Swindon teenagers.

Not Just A Diagnosis was voted the winner at the Swindon heat of Preloader, which showcases the work of young film-makers.

The heat was held at Swindon Central Library as part of the Swindon Film Festival and was attended by about 90 people.

Not Just A Diagnosis, directed by Heather Caddie and showing a nightmare world in which a young woman is branded because of her mental health issues, now goes through to the Preloader finals in Salisbury on April 23.

The film has already been nominated in the First Light Awards, which takes place in London next week and include The Hobbit and Sherlock star Martin Freeman and Dr Who’s Matt Smith among the judges.

The Swindon Preloader runners-up were Down River Blues by Create Studios’ Summer School, Leave Me Alone by Theo Altieri and Gaining Ground by Creative Minds.
