CHANCES to cash in on the UK’s improving economy will be offered in Swindon next month when the region’s fastest growing business show launches at the Steam Museum.

Manufacturers and commercial enterprises will be able to take advantage of new opportunities for networking and investment at the Thames Valley Expo on Thursday, November 21.

The free event will take place from 9am to 4pm.

The show will offer practical workshops to help firms discover new suppliers, reduce costs, and gain knowledge from experts in their field.

Private one-to-one sessions will be offered if sensitive or critical issues need to be raised with leading professionals Alec Jones-Hall and Allison Dodd are the directors behind Thames Valley Expo, and they hope the Swindon leg will bring as much success as their first outing at Windsor racecourse in.

Alec said: “The event in Windsor attracted over 550 local business leaders. It was a huge success, and we were asked by Swindon businesses including Business Scene and 4Networking to bring the show to Swindon.

“We will be bringing in some of the UK’s biggest speakers, including Kimberley Davis from The Apprentice, and Brad Burton, who is a leading motivational speaker. “He went from being £25,000 in debt to running a multi-million pound business.

“Bill Morrow is bringing a team of investors, who have raised over £16m for UK businesses, and will be looking to invest in new start ups or existing businesses who may need some investment after being declined by the banks. “They want people to come along with a business plan and enter their funding clinic.

“This type of event is absolutely crucial for Swindon, because serious investors are coming here with opportunities. “Shows like this help to generate confidence, and there has been a lack of confidence in the economy recently.”

Allison said: “We want to see integrity in a show where people can come and enjoy it and be part of the community. “People think it is a day out of the office, but we are bringing the office to them for the day so they can work while listening to the speakers.”

Business Scene’s Warren Cass will be leading a seminar at his home-town show entitled How Do You Stand Out Above The Crowd? which will be focussed on start-up businesses.

Expert Mark White will also feature at the expo where he will be running a free interactive LinkedIn boot camp workshop.
