A BEAUTICIAN who runs her own North Swindon salon has been nominated for two prestigious awards.

Stephanie Drewett, the owner of beauty salon Beauty Boutique, is in the running for Salon Of The Year and Beautician Of The Year in the 2017 English Hair and Beauty Awards.

It’s made all the more special for Stephanie as she has been nominated by her loyal legions of clients.

Stephanie, 33, who lives in Cheney Manor, said: “I had no idea that so many people would nominate me because I’m such a small salon.

“It means so much to me to have made the shortlist and I’m very grateful for all the support.”

Stephanie, who has been a fully qualified beautician since 2002, has been invited to the awards ceremony in Leicester on March 19.

More than 750 people are likely to attend and scooping two prestigious awards would be the icing on the cake for the young entrepreneur.

She has been nominated for an award for running the best beauty salon in the south west and, even more impressively, for being England’s beautician of the year.

She is up against eight people in each category and remains hopeful that she can come away with an award.

She said: “It’s an amazing achievement to get to this point. Even if I don’t win I’m just so happy to be nominated.

I don’t want to say I’m too confident, because you never really know – I’m just so chuffed to be a part of it.

“I’m really looking forward to the experience. It will be nice to meet other people and mingle.”

She has run her North Swindon salon for the past nine years and has managed to maintain a strong client base.

She is currently running a competition in which clients can win a free CACI Synergy treatment. The procedure uses special technology to tackle facial wrinkles and other signs of ageing. Log on to www.beautyboutiqueswindon.co.uk or Beauty Boutique’s Facebook page to enter the competition.
