A 11-year-old boy has been pushed off his bike and attacked by a teenager.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack in Swindon.

It happened between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, May 13, when three youths were riding their bikes on a footpath which crosses over Ocotal Way, behind Penny Lane and the Carshop, and emerges at a subway which goes under Drakes Way and on to Marlowe Avenue.

When they reached the play park in Wheatcroft Way one of the boys was pushed off the bike by a white male, aged about 14 to 15, with short brown hair.

The male then stamped on the young boy's wrist causing further injury to his already broken hand.

This youth was with seven other males of a similar age.

A 13-year-old local boy was arrested in relation to this and has been released under investigation.

Det Con Snezhanna Lennon said: "We'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area around this time.

"Did you see a group of youths in this area or the boys riding around this area?

"We'd especially like to hear from a member of the public who was passing by on a bike and who was asked by the victim for help and who wiped blood off the injured boy's face."
