Fallen cables cause road closure
A LORRY driver made off without stopping after bringing down BT cables which dropped onto the Marlborough Road.
A full road closure was put in place this morning after the incident, as officials ascertained whether telecoms or electricity lines had been brought down.
It is thought the cables were cleared by 11am with the road re-opening shortly afterwards.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police confirmed officers had attended the incident after receiving a call at 9.30am.
