SWINDON Town have announced the signing of Millwall striker Harry Smith on a season-long loan deal.

The 22-year-old only joined Millwall, who were promoted to the Championship last season through the play-offs, last year for a fee of £15,000 from Folkestone Invicta.

Having scored 13 goals in 19 appearances for the Isthmian League Premier Division side during their 2015/16 campaign, the 6 ft 5 in forward earned his move to the Football League.

However, appearances were at a premium in his first season in professional football, Smith making 12 outings in all competitions, netting six goals in total, with one of those coming in the league.

Smith, who played for Brentford, Chelsea and Gillingham during his youth career, before playing for non-league sides Sevenoaks Town and Sittingbourne, netted a hat-trick in the FA Cup for the south east London club in a 5-2 win over Braintree Town.
