FLORALYN George is a musician that aims to use her talent to help others.

She is currently on tour raising funds for a string of charities and will be performing at the Swindon Arts Centre, Devizes Road, Old Town on Wednesday September 6.

“We want to contribute to fundraising efforts and help people with health problems, as well as environmental issues and endangered species,” said Floralyn.

The singer/songwriter has many strings to her harp, including modelling work, but she grew up surrounded by music as her family are all musicians.

She plays a mix of pop rock, electro, dance ambient music all over the world including Macua, Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece and Egypt.

On this tour she will be raising money for are British Heart Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Blue Cross, Marie Curie, Elephant Family and The Yearley Trust.

“I believe that music is a healer and it brings people together. It has the power to move our emotions and sometimes change our lives,” she said.
