SEVERAL firework displays are set to light up the skies over the next few days starting tomorrow at 5.30pm at Westlea Primary School in aid of school funds.

On Saturday there will be a fireworks and bonfire spectacular at Lydiard Park from 6pm, organised by the 1st Purton and Lydiard Scout Group. It will include live music from reggae/ska/dub band SNdubstation.

Refreshments, including burgers, sausages, soup, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, will be available.

Swindon Lions Fireworks Display will be held at the Polo Ground, Marlborough Road at 5.30pm and there will also be a funfair all evening, together with entertainment from Josie And The Outlaw. There will be a free park and ride from Nationwide car park in Pipers Way.

On Sunday there will be a bonfire and fireworks display at Brinkworth Recreation Field at 6pm.

And in Old Town the Beehive, in Prospect Hill the Fireworks Frenzy, kicks off at 8pm with a DJ providing the music.

Accompanied children are welcome in the pub before the fireworks but not afterwards.
