Hoist the sails, weigh anchor and set a course for Neverland, as the Wyvern Theatre’s hit pantomime Peter Pan continues its run this week.
Starring Eastender Adam Woodyatt – better known as Ian Beale – as dastardly pirate Captain Hook, the pantomime tells the story of Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up, and his adventures in Neverland with his band of Lost Boys.
Complete with high-flying special effects, sumptuous costumes, plenty of audience interaction and lots of laughs, this is the seasonal event for all the family.
A special Relaxed Performance takes place on Friday (8) at 1pm, suitable for customers who find it difficult to cope with a traditional theatre atmosphere due to having learning difficulties or conditions such as an autism spectrum disorder.
It may also be just the ticket for parents or schools with children sensitive to loud noises or the dark, as there will be a relaxed attitude to noise and movement, door will stay open and loud noises will be removed from the performance.
The show will also skip potentially scary lighting effects and some alternative activities will be laid on in the theatre foyer for those youngsters who need a break from the performance.
The pantomime is performed twice daily (except for Mondays) till December 31 and tickets range in price from £19 to £31.50 depending on the time and date. Concessions are £2 off, and family and group tickets are available.
Many shows are already sold out so be sure to book tickets soon if you want to see some swash-buckling festive fun in the biggest event of the Wyvern Theatre’s year.
