The A3102 Wootton Bassett Road was closed both ways for several hours this morning after a burst water main lifted the road surface.
Houses were left without water after the burst at 3am, near to the West End bowls club.
This is the scene at Wootton Bassett Road - shut between Kingshill Road and Redpost Drive following a burst water main. The leak appears to be fixed, although there is still surface water on the road. SBC officers say they hope to reopen the road in the next hour. pic.twitter.com/54DroywASo

The road was closed between A4289 Kingshill Road and B4289 Westcott Place and Redposts Drive but reopened just before 9am.
Burst water main results in low water pressure or no water across SN1, SN2 and SN5, Thames Water say -although water appears to have been restored already to some areas.
