Swindon Chamber of Commerce has a new home.

Following a highly successful year, which saw 26 per cent membership growth, the Swindon Chamber of Commerce has moved into new offices  in Newbridge Square. The modern, eight storey building, which is in the heart of the business community, is within walking distance of the local town centre.

The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, who have overall responsibility for the Swindon Chamber, will be running more than 20 major events throughout 2018.

This includes a series of breakfasts, political working lunches and corporate insight and business alliance dinners with high profile speakers, informative topics and networking opportunities available to members and non-members alike.

Bi-monthly meetings will also run out of the new offices, which will continually push forward the local policy priorities, as outlined by the Chamber Council.

The need for improvement in infrastructure, financial injections into Swindon town centre and a call for a ‘2050 vision’ that ‘maximises the potential to align economic and land use planning to shape and frame Swindon’s future’, are at the top of the agenda for the coming 12 months.

Sara Parris, Business Manager, who has responsibly for the local Swindon Chamber Council said: “Locating ourselves in the heart of Swindon gives us an ideal opportunity to establish our position as the leading voice for business in the region.

“Our new Fig offices are particularly vibrant with state of the art facilities and we have already successfully launched a major networking lunch that attracted many local businesses and the wider community.”
