THE Royal Institution is visiting Cricklade Manor Prep School to present a show about energy to pupils and parents.

The Energy LIVE show will feature lots of experiments and demonstrations, and is based on the Royal Institution's inspirational Christmas Lectures.

First, it will be performed exclusively for pupils during the school day on Tuesday March 20.

The RI will then perform the show again at 5.30pm that evening to give members of the public a chance to see it.

Tickets for the second performance cost £3 each.

Youngsters under the age of 13 get free entry.

The world-famous scientific education and research charity was set up in 1799 to promote public engagement with science.

Cricklade Manor Prep School, formerly known as Prior Park Prep School, invited the RI to the school for their Science Spectacular day.

A spokesperson for the school said: "This is a fabulous opportunity for our community to access the very best in popular science, and discover more about different sources of energy and how they affect our lives."
