COURT: Failing to comply with a suspended sentence cost Jane Willson a £50 fine and costs of £60. Willson, 55, of The Avenue, Stanton Fitzwarren, admitted breaching the order imposed in July last year by failing to attend appointments with her offender manager on two occasions without providing an acceptable reason.

COURT: Swindon magistrates ordered an owner to keep her dangerous dog muzzled and on a lead at all times in public after she admitted that it was not kept under proper control. Marlene New of Mulberry Grove, was instructed to keep the Akita Rottweiler crossbred named Wyler in a secure environment to prevent him escaping or straying in public and to keep him muzzled all the while he is outside. She was also ordered to pay court costs of £740 to Swindon Borough Council.

COURT: A drink driver who was caught over the limit at the A419 White Hart roundabout on March 4 assaulted three police officers, Swindon magistrates heard. Oliver Bridges, 25 of Pigeons Farm Road, Thatcham, who also admitted having no insurance, was ordered to pay a total of £900, including £300 compensation to the officers, when he appeared in the dock. The bench imposed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months and fined him £400.

COURT: Flasher Dylan Lowe was given an 18-week suspended prison sentence after he admitted exposing his genitals in Swindon on December 17 with the intention of causing distress. Lowe, 52, of Radnor Street, was told the sentence, suspended for two years, was imposed because of huis attitude and the nature of the offence. He was banned from all leisure centres for the next two years and ordered to take part in a rehabilitation programme.
