Swindon Advertiser:

A police forensics officer was on the scene at 9.30am. Dressed in white and blue overalls he collected samples of what appeared to be blood and glass from the forecourt of a Corporation Street car wash. Police had removed the scene by lunchtime.

At 3.30pm, Wiltshire Police issued an appeal for witnesses.

"We are currently continuing our investigations and people may notice an increased police presence in this part of town."
