WILTSHIRE'S Unicorns Championship Western Division clash against defending champions Berkshire remained finely poised heading into today's final day at Corsham CC.

The home side, resuming on 87-2 on Monday, got to within 30 of Berkshire's opening 296 all out after totalling 266.

Tahir Afridi led the charge with 77 from 67 balls, while Neil Clark hit 54 and Berkshire's Alex Russell took 5-81.

The home bowlers then gave their side a real chance of victory by dismissing Berkshire for just 163 in their second innings.

South Wilts seamer Luke Evans followed up his six-wicket haul in the previous defeat by Dorset with another four wickets (4-51), while Ryan Murray took 4-47.

Berkshire's Waqas Hussain top scored with 44 as Wiltshire were set 194 for victory, reaching 44-3 by stumps.
