EXCALIBUR communications is keeping it local after acquiring smaller Swindon-based IT firm Sensata Ltd.
Excalibur, a leading IT and telecoms provider based at Arclite House, took on the family-run firm in the third acquisition in 18 months. Staff from the smaller firm will join the 60 employed at the Excalibur office.
Peter Bouche, Excalibur’s newly-appointed CEO, said: “We welcome Sensata into the business. It’s a proven company that shares our passion for delivering a great service to clients and going the extra mile to create IT solutions specifically for SMEs. It’s a natural fit for both of us and as we grow, we also benefit from the addition of great staff into the Excalibur talent pool.”
Chris Griffin, Sensata founder and technical director added: “After a successful and enjoyable 14 years in running Sensata, Janet and I are delighted for the company to be joining Excalibur. It was important for us to secure an agreement that would provide security for our dedicated staff and continuity of service for our loyal customers.
"Janet and I will continue to be involved with the business and are looking forward to supporting Excalibur’s development going forward.”
