Flip flops at the ready as Cornbury Festival kicks off this weekend headlined by Alanis Morissette.

Cornbury is the only summer festival to snaffle a performance from Alanis this year. The Festival, based at The Great Tew Park in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, runs from tomorrow, Friday July 13 to Sunday July 15.

Also on the line-up is chart busting Pixie Lott. Her debut single, Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh), was released in June 2009 and went straight to number one in the UK singles chart. Her second single, Boys and Girls, also topped the UK singles chart in September 2009.

Her mother gave her the nickname Pixie because she was such a tiny, cute baby who looked like a fairy, but she was christened Victoria Louise.

She took part in BBC TV's Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 and in 2016, Pixie starred as Holly Golightly in a season of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s West End. In the following year she became a coach on The Voice Kids UK alongside will.i.am & Danny Jones.

Joining Alanis and Pixie at Cornbury are such artists as Mavis Staples, Amy Macdonald, PP Arnold, Megan McKenna, Kolas and The Adelaides.
