The Swindon Advertiser has teamed up with organisers of Festival On The Farm to offer readers the chance to win two weekend passes.

The lucky winners will see a host of local bands mixed with acts from further afield, including headliners The Go Go Five playing Motown, soul, jazz, rock and blues.

Andy Pett from Riffs Bar, Greatfield near Hook, has organised the musical line-up and he said: "Ivan Chandler, founding member of The Go Go Five, used to play keyboards for Dusty Springfield.''

After winning many new fans at the Purton festival last year Magician's Nephew, who appeared on ITV's The Voice Kids, were snapped up to play again.

The family-friendly festival returns with three days of live music, comedy and fun for the little ones. It is hosted by Purton House Organics and runs from Friday, August 3 to Sunday, August 5, and camping is available.

Event organiser and farmer Rowie Meers said: “As an organic farm in need of diversification, we have been growing the festival over the last few years! This year we have pulled out all the stops with some fantastic bands, local food and activities”

Also in the line up are Swindon favourites Sex Jazz, The Shudders, 80s synth duo Binomial and Penfold.

Comedy comes from Alan Francis, past winner of Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny Award, and El Baldinino and there will be tributes from Marc as Robbie Williams and The Berries paying homage to The Hollies.

Other favourites over the weekend include Kid Calico and The Astral Ponies, Rotten Aces, Neon, No Middle Ground and many more.

There will be a wide selection of locally sourced refreshments and tempting snacks from the Purton Farm Shop. There will also be a small coffee bar serving teas, barista coffee, home made cakes and ice cream, plus a bar.

The young ones are not forgotten as this festival is very much about the family with a fun fair and face painting.
