An energetic show charting the life and career of Tina Turner, one of the world's most iconic performers, opens at the Wyvern Theatre for one night only.

The tribute show, called the Tina Turner Experience, features a seven-piece band, talented backing singers and professional dancers.

Tina Turner fans will enjoy a chance to experience hits such as Private Dancer, Nutbush City Limits, Proud Mary, River Deep Mountain High and Let’s Stay Together, all performed with the sound and style that made the rock star world famous.

Julie Nevada stars as Tina Turner. Billed as one of the world’s leading Tina Turner impersonators, she has studied Tina’s dance moves, facial expressions and voice for many years, perfecting her mannerisms to create an authentic performance.

A West End performer, Julie has also starred in Annie, the Sound of Music and Bugsy Malone.

Tina Turner was born in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939 and rose to international fame as a singer with Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm. She went on to record hit singles with Ike and as a solo performer, becoming one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time.

She has won many awards and starred in several films, including Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, alongside Mel Gibson.

With powerful vocals, lively dance routines and a series of glamorous costumes, this tribute show celebrates why Tina Turner was Simply The Best. It starts at 7.30pm, and promises to be a night to remember. Tickets are £22 with concessions available.
