POLICE hope the owner of a stolen mountain bike will come forward.
A 26-year-old man from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of stealing the dark green, adults'-sized mountain bike.
It was snatched from the bike racks at the corner of Edgeware Road and Regent Street between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, September 1. When it was taken the bike had a white cycle helmet secured with it.
But the bike's owner is yet to report the bike as missing. Swindon police have appealed for them to come forward and claim the bike.
A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: "If you think this may be your bike, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54180085457. Proof of ownership will be required."
