A TEENAGED trio have been arrested in connection with an unprovoked assault that left one victim with a broken eye socket.

A group of teenagers were set upon as they walked along Vistula Crescent, North Swindon, at around 1.30am on Saturday, July 28. The youngsters had left Asda at the Orbital Shopping Centre.

The unprovoked attack at the hands of a gang of youths left two victims, an 18-year-old man and woman, with serious injuries. One victim had to visit hospital to be treated for a broken eye socket, nose and ribs.

Two boys, 16, and a 17-year-old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, grievous bodily harm and two counts of common assault. All three Swindon boys have been released under investigation as police enquiries continue.
