THE legacy of singer-songwriter George Michael is celebrated in a special tribute show called Faith, at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon tonight.

Faith: the George Michael Legacy stars Wayne Dilks along with his eight-piece band and together they present a musical journey covering 35 years of hit records, from the early days of Wham in the 1980s to George Michael's globally successful solo career.

Including actual video footage from The George Michael 25 live tour, the two-hour show tonight includes much-loved songs such as Club Tropicana, I’m Your Man, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, Faith, Fast love, Outside, Freedom, A Different Corner, Father Figure, romantic ballad Careless Whisper and many more.

Dilks has been performing the songs of George Michael for more than 17 years and is internationally recognised for his skill in recreating the star’s vocals, stage presence and look.

He was invited to perform twice on ITV’s Stars in their eyes, has appeared on countless radio stations for interviews in the UK and abroad, and appeared on ITV’s Loose women in 2011 as a birthday surprise for presenter Kate Thornton.

"Since 1982 George Michael's music has provided a soundtrack to the lives of so many people. The music from his back catalogue has the ability to take you back in time, to a place or a memory; that is the power of his longevity. For most of us, George is more than a musical genius, he represents so much more," Wayne said.
