CIRCUS Vegas is in town and it has defied expectations with jaw dropping acts and entertainment throughout the show at the Westcott Recreation Ground.

You need to see this before it packs up its bright red tent later today and moves on to its next venue.

This is a show for all ages that will keep everyone entertained. I took my nephew with me, this was his first time experiencing a circus and he was in awe from start to finish.

The spectacular kicked off with four drummer girls dressed in all glitter outfits beating their drums to introduce the shows ringmaster.

It didn't take long for the action to be in full swing as the next act involved a woman who could do anything with a hula hoop... literally!

This was followed by one of the more dangerous performances which saw a performer stack objects that were off balance higher and higher each time to then place a board and balance on top of it - he had everyone gripped.

Then came my favourite act of the night Ariel Chandelier. An acrobat who had grace, technical ability and was outstanding at entertaining the crowd whilst she was doing tricks and moves hanging off a chandelier that was as high as the roof top of the tent. It was simply beautiful.

Next up was flames, motorbikes and excitement. This could only have been the the Globe of Death stunt. Not only did they have two riders in the globe but they also had the ringmaster stand in the middle whilst one rider flew past and over him.

I have seen this act before but like everything with the Las Vegas Circus they put their own unique touch to each act which makes it different.

Even during the halfway interval there is plenty to do as they have a fair ground ride on site, face painting and plenty of traditional snacks such as cotton candy and popcorn to refill before It resumes.

Also throughout the extravaganza there are segments which involves Edy the Clown getting up to mischief with the audience and thoroughly amusing the crowd as the performers get ready.

To set the tone of what to expect from the clown it involves a lot of water sprayed, popcorn everywhere. An audience member left with a bag on his head and a Mariachi band made up by you - the spectators.

The second half of the exhibition involves a man being run over by a truck, two tight rope walkers who also ride a bike across the rope and a gymnastic spectacular hanging from silks.

There is also a stunt involving a time machine that I will just have to let you see for yourself.

It really is a must see as you will be hooked from start to finish. It's an event with something for everyone, if you're a petrolhead, theatre-goer, thrillseeker or if you just want to be entertained then this is for you.

Today is the last day you can go, with two shows being held at 2pm and 5pm.

Prices range from £8 to £36 per ticket, with discounts for under-16s, students, disabled guests, over-60s and jobseekers.
