A FUNDRAISER is being held on Saturday to raise money for children's cancer charities.
Lisa Sheppard created the Rodbourne Rocks facebook page to start a group activity for her friends which quickly expanded to Rocks of Swindon, which has over 11,000 members.
She said: "The idea was for Swindon children and adults to paint pebbles and place them around Swindon and beyond.
"I am now trying to take Rocks of Swindon to another level by using it as a way to create awareness.
"As September is Children’s Cancer Awareness month, I have encouraged our rock painting community to paint gold rocks to support this and 'go gold' for charity."
Lisa will host a family event at the Western Community Centre on September 22 from 3pm to 5.30pm fundraise for three local cancer charities.
Visitors can enjoy rock painting bouncy castle, cake stall, auction, and a raffle.
All he money raised will be split between CALM, Clic Sargent and CCLG.
