She’s been described as the leader of Jeremy Corbyn’s Twitter Army and the woman behind the ‘most divisive’ account in Britain.

Somer people think she is, in fact a man, and other have suggested she might be running a business while also claiming benefits.

She tweets up to 40 times a day, and she’s from Swindon.

Anyone who tries to follow British politics on Twitter will have almost certainly come across tweets by @Rachael_Swindon, and now she has invited the media into her home in the town.

Political campaigner Rachael Cousins invited news and entertainment website Buzzfeed into her home for an interview.

And the first question it addresses was - is the whoever send the tweets really a man, perhaps her 42-year-old husband Jon? She countered the common accusation by saying: “I am a woman who has got a voice. They are trying to take that away from me.”

And Buzzfeed’s reporter Mark Di Stefano backs that up saying that 43 year-old Rachael sent several direct messages, and a tweet during two interviews.

The interview also says that Jon was at pains to suggest that Jon as not as left-wing as his wife who is s devoted admirer of Jeremy Corbyn.

Rachael said she started her prolific tweeting a couple of years ago because of her own experiences, of difficulties with housing, being out of work and in dispute with the Department of Work and Pensions.

She told Buzzfeed@ "I thought: 'I've got to do something, I've got to shout about it."

Shout about it she does. Rachael who is currently unemployed said she send about 40 tweets a day: Pro-Labour memes, and pictures and memes critical of both the Conservatives and Those labour figures and groups critical of Jeremy Corbyn.

She told Buzzfeed she wakes at 6am, reads news sites (she favours the Independent, and left wing sites Skwawkbox and the Canary) then plans what she's going to post throughout the day.

She said: "I tweet about 7am, then I walk the dog. I'll have a coffee, look at Twitter again, tweet a bit more, do something else."

She said she was part of several Twitter DM groups discussing “all day” what to post in support of Jeremy Corbyn and Labour. and that “maybe” Labour officials, or even MPs were in those groups.

She certainly is known in high Labour circles - she showed the magazine two hand-written cards from Mr Corbyn, (who thanked her for all her help during the 'incredible year' of 2017) and met shadow chancellor John McDonnell, who said: "You're Rachael Swindon", and whose staff applauded her.

She was even in the VIP area at Labour Live festival.

But she told Buzzfeed: "I was like, 'Oh my God'. I wanted the ground to swallow me up.

She said of the VIP treatment: "It was actually embarrassing. I get really embarrassed and I don't like it. We were in the VIP areas and everything."

“I’m just normal, boring and normal.”
