COURT: A drink-driver caught driving over the limit in Royal Wootton Basset on August 15 has been disqualified from driving for 17 months.

Margaretta Kyprianides, 52, of Holloway in Bradenstoke, Chippenham, pleaded guilty to the charge at Swindon Magistrates' Court.

She had 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when tested by officers. The limit is 35mg.

Kyprianides has been fined £207 and must pay £85 in costs plus £30 to victim services.

COURT: A teenager has been disqualified from driving for 17 months.

Jamie Paterson, 19, of Maunsell Way in Wroughton, had 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when tested by officers after driving along Kerrs Way on August 12. The limit is 35mg.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at Swindon Magistrates' Court and has been fined £265.

COURT: Yet another drink-driver has been disqualified from driving for 17 months.

Rafal Popiolek, 33, of Frankel Avenue in Swindon, drove along Bincknoll Lane in Royal Wootton Bassett with 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The limit is 35mg. Popiolek pleaded guilty and was fined £207.

COURT: Emma Lloyd, of White Horse Road in Cricklade, must pay £50 in compensation after pleading guilty to assault by beating.

The 29-year-old hit another woman on August 14.

She has been discharged conditionally for 12 months.
