COURT: A motorist who drove along Swindon Road on January 17 while disqualified from driving has been disqualified for a total of 38 months and 10 days.

Jordan Whyte, 29, of Station Road in Purton, pleaded guilty to the charge at Swindon Magistrates' Court.

He must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and a rehab activity, and pay £85 in costs plus £85 to victim services.

COURT: A 29-year-old man who failed to notify of changed circumstances that would affect his benefits must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.

Tyrone O’Neill, 29, of Abingdon Road in Oxford, pleaded guilty to failing to notify the Department of Work & Pensions that he was working in paid employment between June 2015 and September 2016 in Swindon.

He also pleaded guilty to failing to notify SBC of this employment between June 30 2015 and September 2016.

This employment would have affected his entitlement to both Employment and Support Allowance and Housing Benefit. O’Neill must also pay £85 in costs plus £85 to victim services.

COURT: Vincent Sparkes, 39, of Carstairs Avenue in Swindon, must pay £250 in compensation after pleading guilty to theft.

He stole a pedal cycle worth £250 from a woman on June 13.

COURT: A thief who stole goods in Swindon which belonged to Hampshire Police has been jailed for six weeks.

Jamie Stanley, 24, of HMP Portland in Portland, pleaded guilty to stealing a Buddi tracker and accessories worth £665 on April 18.

He is already serving time in prison and must pay £115 to victim services.
