FIREFIGHTERS used a hose to cool a teenager suspected to have been burned in what neighbours described as a spray attack.
The boy, whose age has not been released by police, was taken to hospital.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said two crews had been called to Broad Street at 4.11pm yesterday.
“A male youth was reported to have suffered substance burns,” a spokeswoman said. “One hose real jet was used so that he could be cooled as per instruction from the ambulance service.”
Firefighters left the scene at around 4.40pm.
A police cordon remained in place for another hour, with officers guarding a home opposite the Broad Street park.
