Swindon is the home to global brands like Nationwide and Intel plus the UK manufacturing hub of Honda.

Three times during the year Barclays Bank sponsors a business lunch when the three local MPs are invited to give their state of the nation talk to an invited audience – an event which is organised by the Swindon Chamber of Commerce.

This year so far Justin Tomlinson MP for Swindon North and James Gray MP for North Wiltshire have spoken. Next month Robert Buckland MP for Swindon South will be speaking.

The lunches are held at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel on the outskirts of the town.

Adam Flint, the general manager of the hotel, said he was pleased to be hosting another lunch next month and looked forward to be doing it.

"The Double Tree Hilton is part of the Swindon business community and it is important that we are at the heart of it," he said.

“As well as the lunches we have with Barclays and the MPs, I organise other business events at the hotel.

“The latest business lunch brought together a comedienne, a working mother of six and a charity organiser, plus other executives such is the diversity of business in Swindon.

“Long may it continue.”
