A TOMMY statue will be installed on Highworth's new Podium just in time for the November Remembrance Day and Armistice Day services.
It will have pride of place by the Market Square on a new flagstone base with a small granite plaque.
Councillors voted to leave it there temporarily until January, when they will then vote to decide its permanent home.
Resident Gerry Evans fundraised enough money, with the help of generous locals, to pay for a second Tommy statue, which will be installed in the town at a later date.
