STRIKER Andy Sandell has returned to Chippenham Town after a one-month loan stint with Melksham Town.

The two-time Southern League Golden Boot winner, 35, joined the inFILED Arena outfit to regain fitness after a spell on the sidelines for the National League South Bluebirds.

Sandell scored once during his time with Kieran Baggs' side but will now rejoin Mark Collier's squad.

However, he will not be eligible for tomorrow night's FA Cup third qualifying round tie against Hendon, having featured in Melksham Town's cup defeat to Merthyr Town last month.

Collier said “Sands has had game time and improved his fitness levels, in the meantime. He will be back with us from tomorrow.''

Melksham Town said via their Twitter page: "Thank you to @ChipTownFC for the months loan & to @Andysandell7 for his efforts. We wish them well for the rest of the season.''

Chippenham will learn their possible fourth qualifying round opponents in the FA Cup - should they get past Hendon - when the draw is made this afternoon.
