POLICE seized cannabis worth over £10,000 after raiding a house in Penhill
Swindon North Community Policing Team 1 carried out a warrant in Burbage Road on Thursday and discovered a cannabis factory there.
After following enquiries into material found at the property, they arrested a man in his 40s on Friday morning on suspicion of production of cannabis.
The suspect remains in custody at Gablecross.
Sgt Winter said: "Thanks to intelligence supplied to us by the community, we have been able to take action which has resulted in a large seizure of drugs and the arrest of one suspect.
"The community provide a vital link to detecting crime and anyone can pass information to the Police anonymously by calling 101, using the Wiltshire Police website or phoning Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’’
