A TEEN from Highworth has had her colourful hair shaved off to raise money for The Little Princess Trust.
Lillybelle Burgess, 19, from Highworth, invited family and friends to the Pamper Lounge, on Swindon Street, to watch the spectacle of her willingly have her bright pink shaved down to a number two.
She is raising the money after going through a tough time with her own mental health as well as losing her great aunty Debby to cancer.
She told the Adver: "I feel I've given something back. My family have all been affected by cancer, doing something like this just makes you feel like a good person."
After a nervous five minutes waiting for the hair to all come off Lillybelle seemed to be enjoying her new look.
"My legs were shaking, and I was holding my breath I was so scared," she said.
"I do love my hair, normally I have really bold bright colours. I have to get used to it now, I don't have any other option."
The Little Princess Trust is a charity that provides free wigs for children undergoing treatment for cancer.
The fundraiser has already raised more than £500. To help Lillybelle hit her £1,000 target go to www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lillybelleburgess
