Nearly every parent of secondary school aged children was was able to send their child to a school in the top three of their preferences.
Last year 93 per cent of parents were able to send their child to their first choice of secondary school and 99 per cent to one of their top three preferences.
A smaller proportion, 92 per cent, of primary school parents were allocated their first choice but 99 per cent again received one of their top three choices.
There are a large number of in-year school transfers with more than 2,500 children switching schools between September 2017 and February this year.
These figures are included in answers to be given to written questions from councillors by Swindon Borough Council's cabinet member for children and school attainment, Coun Mary Martin at the meeting of the Scrutiny Committee next week.
She will present a report on the work of Childrens' Services and answer questions from councillors.
The meeting, which the public may attend, will begin at 6pm on Monday October 22 at the Civic Offices.
