A FREE Help-to-Buy show will be held at Double Tree by Hilton in Swindon this Saturday.

The show will offer free advice on information about buying a new home.

Visitors can find out about the Help to Buy schemes, such as the Help to Buy Equity Loan or Shared Ownership, as well as discounted rental schemes.

The event is hosted by Help to Buy South, the government-appointed Help to Buy agent that covers the county.

The agent will be on hand to explain in detail how these schemes work, answer questions and inspire ideas for those looking for their first or next property.

Guests can also speak to solicitors about the buying process and building societies about mortgage and savings products, while house builders and housing associations will be showing some of the latest homes available with Help to Buy support.

Financial advisors will also be giving free financial assessments.

Julie Barton, programmes manager for Help to Buy South, said: “It has become incredibly difficult for aspiring home owners to get onto the property ladder, especially here in the south of England, but there are so many ways that Help to Buy can help.

“This event is an amazing opportunity for first-time buyers and those looking to move up the property ladder to receive a huge amount of really helpful information.”

“Visitors can even receive a free financial assessment on the day so they can walk away from the show knowing what home they could afford to buy and when they could do it."
