RAIL disruption which caused misery to commuters going to work looks set to continue into the evening.
Trains to London were cancelled or re-routed at Reading this morning after London Paddington was closed because overhead lines were severely damaged by a new Hitachi train being tested the night before.
But the line continues to be plagued with cancellations for commuters returning home this evening.
Great Western Railway currently has 65 cancellations affecting services from London calling at Swindon.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: "Services to and from Reading and London Paddington station remain suspended this morning following severe damage caused to overhead line equipment in the Hanwell area yesterday evening
"We apologise to passengers affected by the disruption and our teams have been working through the night to open the railway as soon as possible.
