SWINDON Wildcats bounced back from their first NIHL South loss of the season on Saturday night with a 7-4 victory at Streatham this evening.

The south London side had ended the Cats’ unblemished league run with a 4-1 success at the Link Centre, but Aaron Nell’s troops gained revenge just 24 hours later.

Nell got the ball rolling for his side, scoring twice in the opening eight minutes of the contest, but Ryan Webb cut the deficit to 2-1 at the end of the first period.

Again Swindon started the second session quickly and Adam Harding struck two goals in five minutes. Webb then got his second goal of the evening for the home side but Jan Kostal pushed the visitors’ lead back up to three.

Edgars Bebris continued Swindon’s surge at the start of the final period with their sixth goal of the night, although Streatham refused to roll over and efforts from Scott Bailey and Adam Carr trimmed the gap.

The hosts pulled their netminder in the closing stages as they went all out to get back into the game and Harding capitalised to complete his hat-trick and finally put the game to bed for Swindon.
